Natural Area’s Environmental Civil Works Team has been delivering high quality projects in sensitive environmental areas for over a decade.
We employ a holistic approach, emphasising safety, environmental management, and site rehabilitation.
Our work involves detailed pre-planning, including the preparation of detailed site-specific management plans, strategic development of site layouts, and project methodologies to minimise our environmental footprint.
Post-construction maintenance ensures long-term ecological balance.
We excel at rehabilitating coastal and riverbank areas, ensuring stable, long-lasting solutions for erosion mitigation and vegetation protection. We utilise both hard and soft engineering solutions. These can also be paired with revegetation and access structures including boardwalks, stairs, viewing platforms and beach/river access points to name a few.
Expertise in coastal and riverbank erosion controls, including rock revetment installation, and geotextile sand container placement, as well as soft engineered solutions such as brush log walling.
Creation of natural drainage solutions, such as living streams, which integrate ecological restoration with effective water management. We carry out all aspects, from earthmoving and regrading, disposal of spoil, construction of riffle beds and other drainage infrastructure, access management including guard rails and fencing, as well as batter stabilisation and revegetation.
Construction of various access structures, purposefully built to minimise environmental impacts – such as trails, boardwalks, and viewing platforms incorporating a wide range of materials, from fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) to timber, to steel — providing safe access to natural areas while preserving their integrity and preventing environmental harm.
